Here is the Busing list for LET, for the benefit of some absent minded group leaders. Yes we know who you are. =)

For LEW, just find Rico at the LEW porch. The time for both is 8.00am

Lastly, if you’ve missed the last many days of posts… READ the following, and the pink colour titled post just below this one. (The one with IMPORTANT in the title).

GIFT EXCHANGE – Please do not forget to get a WRAPPED gift for Gift exchange. Anything for both genders $10-15 is fine! But if you want to give something bigger its fine too. It’s the season of giving after all!

As a general guideline, give something you feel you would want to receive as well. =)

Include a note with some nice words! It’s up to you if you want to leave your name. =p

Again, here is the PACKING LIST. if you’ve not got it yet. And here is a soft copy of the PRAYER and FASTING Handout.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ALL CAMPERS

LEAVING THE CAMP
As mentioned you are accountable to your group leaders. However we also understand that some of you (especially the working bunch/Uni/Poly/Army bunch) have a couple of appointments or commitments you made prior to the camp that you need to see to.

Should you need to leave the camp to settle your unfinished business, we will not stop you but please see that you have done the following:
1. Inform your group leaders which date/day and from what time-what time you have something on, where it is, how long it will take, what time you will leave camp, will you be coming back, if yes what time, do you need bfast/lunch/dinner to be saved for you etc etc.
2. LEADERS: take note of all these and sms my Admin comm (following the number used to send reminders to you aka Clive) all the details by Friday.
3. CAMPER: on the stated day, before leaving make sure your leader is informed AND reminded (being a mother/father of 10 not easy k!) Also before you leave the campsite, make sure you personally inform either Shane/Vinnie so they know you have left.
4. Returning: Please note that NACLI’s security will not allow any ‘visitors’ after 11.30pm.
5. For those joining us late: please also inform your leaders!!!

REPORTING ON SUNDAY
We received a few requests to report directly to NACLI; we are afraid we cannot allow that for many reasons. Please try to understand our situation here and report as instructed to your assigned center. (IF NOT IN FUTURE WE MIGHT STOP PROVIDING TRANSPORT!)
For those of you driving, please also let your leaders know that you are not going to be on the bus and also your respective Bus ICs. However, like the rest you are also required to report to either LET/LEW. In case you are wondering – yes parking is free!

NEW REPORTING TIME
PLEASE NOTE! We have pushed back reporting time to 8am. The other factors remain the same.

ON THE RETURN JOURNEY
As mentioned we are trying to take into consideration the few of you who stay in the west. This is what we have decided: The LEW (aka Rico’s & Adriel’s) bus will take all the Northies & Westies. The bus will make a quick detour to BUONA VISTA MRT and drop the handful of you off before proceeding to WOODLANDS MRT.
For those staying in the vicinity, you may leave on your own after we break camp – but yes accountability. Please do not leave without telling anyone.
As for the LET bus, the bus as planned will drop you at TAMPINES MRT.

PLEASE NOTE THAT once you have alighted from the bus, the BUS ICs’ responsibility to look after you ends there. We are not accountable for your whereabouts there after. Please be matured enough to be accountable to your parents and keep them updated!

I DON’T KNOW WHO IS MY GROUP LEADER/ROOM IC/BUS IC/DEVOTION FACI
Vinnie and her admin comm will turn mean if you start asking this on Sunday.

Rooming and Gift Exchange

Finally the rooming is done! You can get it HERE

*Room List updated as of 17 December

If it appears vertical, you can rotate it using the rotate clockwise option after rightclicking on the page.

Room ICs names are in a different colour. If your name is underlined, you’re sleeping on the floor(late!) unless your room-mates are kind to share.

Countdown to Purity 08 begins!

6 days to Purity 08! Thank you for going down for the Purity 08 Camp Briefing today. Hope you all enjoyed the briefing, almost as much as we had hosting it!

Good effort on the names! All were quite creative and funny! Please keep it up and bring this happy spirit to the camp!

If you’ve not gone for the camp briefing, your team leaders should be calling you really soon. So wait up for their call.

Before I forget, here is the PACKING LIST.

Here is a soft copy of the PRAYER and FASTING Handout. We really hope you can Pray along side with us for the camp. It’s part of combined effort o foster spiritual unity and ownership for our youth ministry.

There’s some last min changes to make to the rooms so we’ll post it later ok? Sorry!

Also, please DO NOT tell other groups your group song, as that would be rather sad for you if you do. 😉

Eight Reasons why you must go for Briefing 14 DEC.

Just a little over two weeks to Purity 08! One event you absolutely must not miss is the camp briefing!

Here are eight reasons why!

1. You will find out who is in your group (and meet them for the first time!)

2. You will find out who is your group leader

3. You will find out who are your room mates!

4. You will know find out what we’ve decided to name the groups! (Its unprecedented! =p)

5. You will BALLOT for your group names! (We promise it’ll be exciting!)

6. You will receive the packlist.

7. You will know the meeting details for Sunday 21 Dec

14 December, LET Tabernacle, After Speedlight

Hello, Good to see you again.

Well it certainly has been awhile since we’ve had an update! The planning has certainly been very exciting(and very busy!), as we are introducing many ‘firsts‘ for a Speedlight camp. Some of them you already know, like the price =p and the cool venue (click slideshow). Others will be revealed in due time. We have great aspirations for the camp this year, and really hope that it’ll serve as a watershed in your spiritual walk. =) Of course, we also promise we’ll do our best to make it fun.

Here are some of the things you should take note of!

1.) Weekly articles on Purity, including reflections written by committee members on various aspects of the camp. We hope these would help in preparing you spiritually for the camp. If you’ve come across a good article or have something to say, feel free to drop us a comment or else email us at puritycomm@gmail.com

2.) Camp Briefing! Remember this date, 14 Dec, that will be when we will hold the camp briefing. It will be held after Speedlight service at LET. (Its combine Speedlight that week, so LEW folks will have transport down anyhow). Please come as you’ll learn very important stuff. Like who is in your group, or even *gasps* who is your roommate!

3.) More Purity 08 downloads!

Lastly, do continue to pray with us who are in the committee as we prepare for an amazing, Spirit-filled camp.

This week, pray for:

1.) Committees planning and preparing for the camp. Opportunities and Doors to be open for them. That they will be able to achieve their goals.

2.) Spiritual readiness for Committees, Facilitators, Campers.

3.) Those planning/attending camp, who are currently having exams!

Camp Shirt Sizes

DEAR CAMP PURITY CAMPERS

As we are changing the company that prints our camp shirts, it will be affecting our shirt sizes also. Kindly look at the new sizes (they are the same as last year’s white Speedlight shirt sizes) and select the size you want.

XXS (34), XS (36), S (38), M (40), L (42), XL (44)
As a guide, gals would usually take XXS to S,
while guys S to M, with the huge guys taking L.

When you have done so we’d appreciate if you could email your updated shirt size to us at purity08tshirt@gmail.com in the following format:
